ABOUT ME

HI THERE, I’M JANE.

I’m a Slow Flow and Restorative Yoga Teacher who values creativity, self-expression, and inspired action. My classes provide a safe and supportive environment – one where you’re encouraged to explore your body, breath and internal landscape.

If you’re a woman whose life is plagued by over-scheduling, over-exerting and over-giving, you aren’t alone. For the longest time, this was my approach to life, too. I fought against myself in so many ways: I was hyper-critical of myself, imposed unrealistic ideals, and continually engaged in negative self-talk. (Can you relate?)

It wasn’t until my first practice that I realized there’s another way – a path of kindness, self-understanding, gentleness and ease.

Testimonials

"Your voice, the phrasing, the poetry, the music, the flow, the relaxation–all perfection. It was all so thoughtful and relaxing. You are a gift!"

-LAURIE

"I feel that what you bring to the table first of all is your voice. It’s soothing and has a cadence that works with the flow as you walk us through the poses. Your voice is soft enough but clear to hear and it just adds to an overall very good experience."

-LYNNANN

"Welcoming, calm demeanor. You always tailor the practice to the student in a way that there is nothing intimidating! "

-ALLYSON

Finding yoga was the deepest sigh of my life. For once, I felt like I had agency over my body. I could finally tune into the present moment, even staying there long enough to develop a playful curiosity. By exploring the intersection between effort and ease, I empowered my nervous system to shift away from old patterns of over-efforting. This helped me listen in and find a balanced place of both engagement and peace; one honoring all of me. The more I showed up on my mat – to sit, breathe and move – the more relief I found.

Through my practice I cultivated self-compassion and self-love. I learned to create space within the noise, and could finally hear the answers to these two powerful questions: “How am I?” and “What do I need?” This allowed me to access a deeper emotional landscape inside. I could finally sit with my feelings, listening and learning from my body, mind, heart and soul.

I found wisdom in the softening, and came to understand my most powerful lesson: I don’t need to fight myself all the time. (Or at all, though this is still a practice and I am forever a practitioner.) This evolving exploration has allowed me to connect more deeply with my Self, Source, and to experience a sense of peace I never dreamed was possible.

My teacher, Jillian Pransky, often says our yoga practices are the pregame for life off-the-mat.  My meditation, breath work, and movement practices all help me to live life in a way that returns me to the present moment, my body, and my heart. It is my genuine desire to help you do the same – so you can thrive on and off your mat, too.

As a human, teacher and forever student, I am reminded how these practices create conditions for inner-listening, self-love and care. Radiating peace outward first blooms from within. I’m continuing to walk this path, finding compassionate tools that help me connect to this quiet, loving place that exists inside.

I look forward to sharing these healing practices with you.

Love, Health & Peace,

Jane

What is Ahimsa Yoga?

Yoga offers us much more than just movement and provides a roadmap for how to balances life's complexities with tools for internal listening, wisdom, & peace.

Within the 8 limbs of yoga, the first limb is called the Yamas or Restraints and Ahimsa or Nonviolence is listed first. This principle is the over arching foundation for all of yoga.

I chose Ahimsa Yoga with the intention of creating space for compassionate inquiry & inner connection. When we make time to tune in to our inner voice & messages, we are given opportunities to return to our innate peaceful & loving center.
